Digital Twins Transform Maritime Logistics Management for Industry 5.0

Recent advancements in digital technology are reshaping the maritime logistics sector, as highlighted in a comprehensive study led by Fuli Zhou from the Industry and Innovation Research Center at Zhengzhou University of Light Industry. The study analyzed a substantial dataset of 3,372 publications from the Web of Science database, spanning from 2003 to 2023, to understand the evolving landscape of maritime logistics. Notably, the majority of publications originated from China and the United States, indicating a concentrated effort in these regions to digitize and modernize maritime logistics.
